JPC is fully compliant with all federal and state regulations and follows the strictest procedures. Important Information Federal Regulation 29CFR1910.1030 states that no employee can be placed in a position to be exposed to blood spills without first:
Receiving bloodborne pathogen (BBP) training
Having a written BBP exposure control plan
Having been provided personal protective equipment (PPE)
Having been offered Hepatitis B vaccine and exposure evaluation and follow up
Being provided with a method to remove and properly store the Bio-Hazardous waste in properly marked containers for disposal at an approved site. Only after these five steps have been met can an employee be required by an employer to clean a bio-hazardous crime scene.

Stay out of affected areas
Call emergency service personnel if the situation is life threatening
Treat all bodily fluids as if they are contaminated
Turn off the HVAC system if there is sewage damage
DON’T
Attempt cleanup of any kind
Touch or handle items that might be contaminated with bodily fluids
Eat, drink, smoke, apply cosmetics or handle contact lenses in affected areas
