JPC technicians are fully insured and trained in the proper handling of biohazards. They are professional in appearance and are very sensitive to the emotional needs of families affected by a situation. They take all measures to ensure discretion while recovering a scene.

Technicians are tested and certified by the American Bio Recovery Association. JPC uses only EPA registered cleaners and disinfectants that are bactericidal, virucidal, hepacidal, fungicidal, and tuberculocidal. Homeowners, property managers, landlords and others now have a professionally trained response team who will properly restore their location. Services are covered under most insurance policies and we bill insurance companies directly. JPC is fully compliant with all federal and state regulations and follows the strictest procedures. Important Information Federal Regulation 29CFR1910.1030 states that no employee can be placed in a position to be exposed to blood spills without first:

  1. Receiving bloodborne pathogen (BBP) training
  2. Having a written BBP exposure control plan
  3. Having been provided personal protective equipment (PPE)
  4. Having been offered Hepatitis B vaccine and exposure evaluation and follow up
  5. Being provided with a method to remove and properly store the Bio-Hazardous waste in properly marked containers for disposal at an approved site.

Only after these five steps have been met can an employee be required by an employer to clean a bio-hazardous crime scene.

Do's and Don'ts for handling Harmful Waste (Sewage, Blood borne Pathogens Etc) before our professionally trained team arrives:

DO:

  1. Stay out of affected areas
  2. Call emergency service personnel if the situation is life threatening
  3. Treat all bodily fluids as if they are contaminated
  4. Turn off the HVAC system if there is sewage damage

DON’T

  1. Attempt cleanup of any kind
  2. Touch or handle items that might be contaminated with bodily fluids
  3. Eat, drink, smoke, apply cosmetics or handle contact lenses in affected areas
